FOR SALE...

Yep!....we can't believe it either! Our beautiful, place of engagement, sweet-little home is for sale. It's really a bitter-sweet thing! We have decided to sell our house in hopes of moving on to something that will give us a bit more room. Being that Jason works from home, we made the mistake not creating a better space for his office (right now it is occupying a bedroom). So we figured...hey! why not go ahead and try to sell it!

So if you know anyone intersted, here's the link:

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Yes, Yes, Yes I DO! So much that I thought it was best to go ahead and enjoy a Christmas themed blog! I love Thanksgiving too, BUT Christmas is just the best. I love the music and the love and joy that it sparks! I love the drive home from work so much more now that Christmas music is on the radio! Christmas really just brings back some of my favorite memories:) After all....I met the love of my life at a Christmas party;)

We have Wedding Pictures!!

We are so excited to have our pictures from our special day! Kim Box, from Kim Box Photography, did an amazing job. She is so talented and I am so happy she captured our sweet moments from our big day! I have always been a fan of her work from my days at Troy as many of the children I knew in Troy had used her for portraits, Christmas photos, etc...which then led me to view her work in wedding photography. Needless to say...I had to have her:) We are definitely lifetime customers!

A little date night...

Jason surprised me with dinner at the restaurant we ate at on our first date for our little Anniversary:) (The picture isn't great as the lighting was dim and the picture was taken with my I-Phone.) He is so sweet and thoughtful:) He also picked up some pretty fall flowers that he arranged himself in a vase from home, a sweet card, and my favorite candy!!...Reeses!! I picked him up some baby bites from the Pastry Art Bake Shoppe! They are the MOST WONDERFUL things you have ever eaten in your life! If you live in Birmingham and have never tried them...you must! Our favorites are the the french vanilla and red velvet baby bites! (Credit goes to Merrick for introducing us to the baby bites!)

Things we love about Fall...

I felt like getting a little festive and picking out a new background for the blog that is a little more suiting for the season! Fall is such a nice time of the year and there's always fun things going on too!

COOLER WEATHER...While it is still hot here in good old Alabama, it finally starts to cool off...which is so nice!

FOOTBALL SEASON... is so much fun! Speaking of which, a sweet neighbor came over last night and gave us some tickets to the Auburn game this weekend! Thanks Kelly! So we are excited to make the trip down to the plains! I also get to visit with my best friend, who is newly engaged! Congrats (again!!) Stacee:)

HALLOWEEN... is just around the corner and we have our costumes picked out already! I'll keep it a surprise for later! :)

THANKSGIVING...is steadily approaching! Looking forward to some yummy sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and some turkey and dressing! If you love sweet potato casserole, then you'll love my Meme's recipe (very seldom did she ever have a recipe as all of her wonderful "cookin" was from her head, so I am lucky to have this one to share!):

The grass isn't always greener....

The grass is certainly not always greener! Like many people (I think!), I (Emily) only learn through experience! But that's what I love about life, things happen and it just enables you to see things differently and appreciate something more. So what I am getting at, is that today was my first day back at my new-old job! Boy was I glad to be back! I have an incredible boss and I am so thankful to work for her! I had a wonderful day...nothing beats leaving work in a good mood and looking forward to the next day! The best part of it all is that I have my sweet husband always standing behind me and supporting me. Wow! We are so blessed...I just can't say that enough!:)

Hola!.....Our Honeymoon in Cancun!

All we can say is that we had a BLAST! We truly had so much fun on our honeymoon! For most people that know us well, would tell you never in a million years would we go on a zipline!....well we did! We rode in dune buggies, swam in a cenote, took a jungle tour, snorkeled, took pictures with dragon size iguanas :), and PIGGED out the entire time we were there.

We stayed at a wonderful resort called The Royal Sands. Our sweet Mom and Dad Fill were so sweet to provide us with the opportunity to have a wonderful honeymoon in Cancun. Thank you both so much:) Here is a picture from our condo...we loved the pool bar! It was a must everyday for lunch!
Upon our arrival, we had to go by the market in the resort to pick up a few essentials for the week. Let me tell you!...I loved the fact that I could go grocery shopping AND have a margarita! Talk about a fun trip to the grocery store! Mexico has something going there! ;)

We ate out every night at some great places! Our favorite was a place called La Destilleria...it was amazing! In my quest to find "cheese dip" (which I never found anywhere and no one knew what I was talking about), we did discover their Tequila Cheese Fondue...it was seriously the best thing I have ever eaten! They served it with flour tortillas and pico....simply divine. They also had the BEST margaritas...a mixture of tequila, mix, grapefruit juice, and pineapple bits! So good! They served the margaritas out of a really neat glass....which we bought in the gift shop! We were so excited when we saw the recipe for the margarita imprinted on the side of the glass!! (I'll post the recipe as soon as I translate it;)!!)

Here are a few photos from our excursions...

We are truly so blessed to have what we have and be where we are in life...more importantly, we are so blessed to have each other and the relationship that we do. We have so much fun with each other spending time together...which is mostly laughing and always smiling. All I can say is wow!...how amazing and wonderful life is:) How fun to spend the rest of your life with your best friend!
