Once you have been booed, it is your turn to "boo" two more neighbors. In my opinion, it is more fun to boo someone! Hudson and I headed to the store that morning and gathered our own booing stuff. Although I got so much joy picking fun stuff out for our neighbors/friends, I must say I am TERRIBLE at booing. We went ahead and booed our friends rather than waiting around until night, because I did not feel like running around at night and sneaking up at someone's house and ringing their doorbell! At the first house, it was a miracle I did not twist my ankle running from their door;) Hudson was crying in the car trying to get out, because he wanted to get out too. He did not quite understand why I was running either. Poor thing was SO confused and sad that he could not get out:( The second house caught us and I was so sad about it. Oh well! It is for the kiddos anyway! We had so much fun doing it!

We've Been Booed!
And Hudson was thrilled! I love this little game that is played during Halloween time. If you aren't familiar or if you want to get a really cute printable to start it in your neighborhood, I found the one that we got here. Here is a video of sweet Hudson "finding" his treats and a few pictures showing off his treats!

Family Fun - Uncorked
We were suppose to go to Auburn for homecoming and take Hudson to his first game, but that did not work out. So we headed out Saturday afternoon to an event in our neighborhood. All you had to say was Bouncey House and Hudson was in! Here are some pictures of Hudson and his buddy Dax having so much fun!

The Zoo!
I seriously love our zoo membership. It is one of our best investments. We go all the time and we BOTH love it. It is the one and only place that I allow Hudson to freely roam anywhere and everywhere he wants to go. He is all about some zoo time! Today was an extra special trip to the zoo because LanLan played hookie and got to spend the day with us:) A friend of mine and her little girl (also named) Landry met us there too. There was mass confusion over the two Landrys, especially when you are trying to keep a 1, 2 and 3 year old all together at a zoo that had no less than 5 or 6 school buses full of field tripping kiddos!
Pretty girl with her hair bow that I may or may not have bribed her to wear;) |
ROAR! "Es monster Mama" |
Chasing the peacock... |
Squirrel chasing... |
"A horse Aunt Emmy! And a king!" |
She thought the castle was SO pretty! |
They loved the lions! |
Sweet Landry and Landry so excited! |
Prince Hudson was not a happy camper and wanted to go home. He felt much better with a snack and was so glad Mrs. Lindsey brought her stroller;) |

Last stop at the zoo, the train! All Aboard! |
Ending the morning with lunch at CFA and some yummy ice cream! |

A Day to Remember
Today was such a special day. For more reasons than one. I have never been baptized and when we joined our church a month ago, I knew then it was something I must (and wanted) to do. Well, this Sunday was the first Sunday of the month and I was ready to go! I was up super early (like 4ish) and was really just so excited for the what the day had in store. To make our day at church even better, my Mom was in town and had never been and my sister and her family decided to visit our church for the first time. I was so excited to have them there to experience what we have fallen so in love with. We are so thankful to have found a church home at Church of the Highlands. God has a way with everything. I never made an announcement about my special day, but somehow He aligned everyone's plans to be in the same place. I am very thankful for that. God is so good.
Here are some pictures from this morning. It was a little hectic and we never got a family picture taken other than just one of me and my precious boy.

Quick Visual
Here are two visuals that show Mr. Independent being his little silly self on the morning of "big boy" day!
Mr. Independent
Hudson is seriously a character. He always has something going on in that little head of his and is always making us laugh and entertaining us. This morning Hudson came downstairs with his little white heiny shining proudly waving his "big boy" underwear around (Note: he is calling them panties...we are working on that - ha!). I have not been upstairs to see where he removed his diaper, but I imagine it is somewhere near his "panty" drawer.
Next thing I know, Hudson came back down with his choice of wardrobe for the day. He informed that "snow is coming Mama". After a little talk about the weather, he decided that it would be ok to go without the winter hat today.
He chose a striped shirt and striped shorts. Because stripes match :) This is Hudson modeling his fashionable choices and is clearly very excited and happy about them! I love all of his little expressions so much.

This little boy is our pride and joy. We are so blessed to have such a little character:) I do not know what we would do without him - and all of his little antics;)
Potty Update: Since he decided today was his day to go the big boy route, we made a quick potty chart for tee tee, #2 and listening ears. He gets one skittle and a small sicker for teetee and when he has really good listening ears. He gets two skittles and a big sticker for the other business;) So far, we have been dry all morning and are still rocking the big boys! Yay for Hudson! Two stickers already down on the teetee column!
